Dual Meets
A meet consists of 62 Events including individual events and team relays. The age group for league dual meets is as follows:

• 8 and Under, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15-18 (Relays 13-18)

• The age group for each swimmer is determined by the swimmer’s age on November 1 of the current season.

• Additional exhibition (non-scoring) events may be included if agreed upon by the coach(s) prior to the start of the meet.

• Swimmers may score in only 3 individual events OR 2 individual events and 1 relay.

ESSL dual meet scoring is as follows:

3rd Place	1 pt.	2 pts.

Any swimmer who is unable to compete at a meet must notify the coach in advance. No visitors are allowed on deck and must remain in the viewing gallery.

Equipment

Team suits are ordered in the fall. Team orders receive a discount, so don’t delay. Swim caps and goggles are strongly suggested and are available for purchase at practices. A lock is strongly recommended for lockers. Please mark everything clearly with child’s name.
